IMMIGRANTS BURYING GROUND
A memorial cross to the immigrants in McBurney Park, near Clergy and Ordnance Streets, Kingston
McBurney Park was built on the site of a former cemetery. The inscription on the cross reads “In memory of the estimated 10,000 mainly Irish and Scottish immigrants buried here in Kingston’s Upper Cemetery 1813-1865. May they rest in peace.”
