Opened in l996 in the renovated historic Custom House, the Centre has become the venue for striking exhibits, lectures and cultural events reflecting the history of working people, their unions, organizations and communities. Among exhibits are: Working Family Treasures; Punching the Clock: Working in Canadian Factories from the 1840s to the 1980s; Stories of Our Past, Stories of Our Future; Highway Workplace: the Canadian Truckers’ Story; Still I Rise: African Canadian Workers in Ontario 1900 - Present. Many of the exhibits are circulated to labour halls and other venues. The Centre may be visited online at http://www.wahc-museum.ca
