BLACK BULL TAVERN

The tavern is still
standing and
serving beer. When built in 1822, it was a favourite stopping point
for farmers coming into Toronto on market day. As well it served as a
gathering place for supporters of William Lyon Mackenzie, leader of
the Rebellion of 1837.
